Windy with a chance for rain: Northeast Ohio’s Thursday forecast


CLEVELAND, Ohio – South winds of 20 mph or greater are expected throughout the area on Thursday with gusts close to 40 mph.

The National Weather Service’s forecast calls for highs approaching 60 tomorrow with a 50% chance of light rain throughout the day. Winds will calm a bit later in the evening with overnight lows falling into the mid 30s. On Friday, a mix of rain and snow showers is possible in the morning. It will switch to rain as temperatures warm with highs around 40.

Hazardous weather outlook

A Small Craft Advisory is in effect from 8 p.m. tonight until 11 p.m. Friday night. Wind gusts up to 35 knots are possible with wave heights of 2 to 5 feet.

Extended forecast for Northeast Ohio

Skies will clear later on Friday as we head into the weekend. Overnight lows will drop to around 30. Saturday will see sunshine return and highs around 50.
