The postseason basketball awards continued on Monday as the Ohio Prep Sportswriters Association released their boys basketball All-Ohio teams for Division III and Division IV.

Teams for Division I and II will be released on Tuesday, followed by the Ohio Mr. Basketball award on Wednesday.

Campbell’s Kevin Moore led the way for local players on Monday as he was the only player in Division III or IV to receive 1st-Team honors after a spectacular season. The Red Devils senior scored 20 points a game and led Campbell to a district title for the first time in 13 years. Campbell lost to Cardinal Mooney in the regional semifinals.

Springfield’s Adam Wharry picked up 3rd team honors in Division III and was joined by teammates Beau Brungard (special mention) and Alex Rothwell (honorable mention). Garfield’s Kaidan Spade, Liberty’s James Davis, LaBrae’s Aidan Stephens, and Pymatuning Valley’s Tyler Britton rounded out the special mention honors in Division III.

Columbiana’s Nick Million, Cardinal Mooney’s Nick Hergenrother, LaBrae’s Tre’Von Drake, Campbell’s Xavion Leonard and Grand Valley’s Hagan Hejduk were named to the honorable mention team as well.

In Division IV, Mathews’ Vinny Sharp and Heartland Christian’s Jonathan Bertovich were both named to the 2nd team after outstanding senior seasons that contributed to their teams’ historic runs. Bertovich helped his team capture its first sectional final while Sharp led the Mustangs to the program’s first District championship since the Vienna and Fowler districts merged.

Kennedy’s Jaden Rishel, Bristol’s Mikey Burbach, Lowellville’s Anthony Lucente and Badger’s Jack Lendak were all named to the special mention team as well.

Seven more local Division IV players were named to the honorable mention team. Windham’s Bert Jones, Brookfield’s Donovan Pawlowski, Warren JFK’s Michael Condoleon, McDonald’s Michael Porter, Bristol’s Nick Church, Mathews’ Dom Greenwood, and Lowellville’s Vinny Ballone all received the honor.
