No. 8 Kentucky Hosts Ohio State on Tuesday at John Cropp Stadium

LEXINGTON, Ky. – The No. 8 Kentucky Softball team will close out a five-game homestand Tuesday evening as it hosts Ohio State at 6 p.m. ET for a power-five midweek matchup at John Cropp Stadium.

The game will be broadcasted on the SEC Network+ and the ESPN app with Dave Baker and former Arizona All-American, Jenny Dalton-Hill on the call from Lexington. Tickets are available at UKathletics.com/tickets.

Kentucky is coming off a weekend series win over No. 18 Auburn in dramatic fashion as UK took games one and three with walk-off home runs off the bat of Renee Abernathy. The senior clubbed a walk-off grand slam in the bottom of the sixth inning Friday to give UK an 11-3 win before she hammered a HR to right center in the bottom of the seventh inning on Sunday to help UK complete the 5-4 comeback win over the Tigers.

Ohio State is 20-6 on the season and sits 2-1 in Big Ten play thanks to a series win this weekend over the Indiana Hoosiers in Columbus. Ohio State has non-conference wins over Louisville, South Carolina, Miami and South Florida and sports an RPI of 25, making them a quad one team, the sixth different quad one team that Kentucky will face this season.

The Wildcats are 22-7 on the season and sit 3-3 through two Southeastern Conference series. UK travels to Baton Rouge to play LSU in a three-game set this weekend.
