Theodore LaCourse Obituary (2022) – Bowling Green, OH

Theodore Leo LaCourse

Theodore (Ted) LaCourse died peacefully on January 9, 2022. Ted was born on September 4, 1932, to George Francis Heintschel and Geraldine Ada Mominee in Oregon, Ohio. After his father’s death, his mother married Albert LaCourse who then adopted Ted and his brother and sisters.

After graduating from Clay High School, Ted enlisted in the Navy.

In 1968, Ted met and married Elsie Lanane becoming Ted’s “first mate” on Ted’s boating adventures on Lake Erie and trips to Aruba. Ted loved boating in the summer and also in the winter as an avid ice boater.

Ted’s lifelong career in real estate made him the go-to guy when buying or selling a home in Point Place. Ted’s motto was “The Realtor with the Midas touch. Everything I list turns to sold”. Ted only recently retired in 2017 as he truly loved his job.

After retiring, Ted spent all his time with his loving friend, Euzella Allison, who cared for him until his passing. Heartfelt gratitude to Zella, her daughter, Nancy, and son-in-law, Dan Avery, for welcoming Ted into their family and loving and caring for Ted.

Ted was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, Elsie, his son, Ted, his grandson, Matthew Lanane, his sisters, Patricia Karoly, Phyllis Sayers, Geraldine Reynolds, and brother, Thomas. He is survived by many nieces and nephews.

There will be a funeral mass celebrated on Thursday, January 27, 2022, at 10:30 a.m., at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, Summit at 124th in Point Place.
