CLEVELAND, Ohio (WJW) – People across Northeast Ohio are trying to get back on track and dig out from 2 feet of snow in some places.

Many schools won’t be reopening Tuesday, with the roads still dicey for buses.

Patches of pavement are beginning to be visible on main roads, but many neighborhoods need a lot of work to be driveable.

7:37 a.m. – Ramp from Lakeland Blvd to I-90 E CLOSED at OH-2 E because of a crash.

7:37 a.m. – Expect lane closures on US-250 West at Sugarbush Ct to SR-96, due to a crash.

7:37 a.m. – Expect lane closures on I-680 South at SR-193 to Glenwood Ave/Mahoning Ave, due to a crash.

7:06 a.m. – Main roads are clear but there are still a lot of slick spots.

6:48 a.m. – Erie County’s Level 1 snow emergency has been canceled.

6:45 a.m. – The Level 1 snow emergency for Medina Co. has been removed.

6:44 a.m. – Wayne County Sheriff’s Office: Deputies on patrol report that many secondary roads are still in poor condition. Other roadways may be covered with black ice. We remain under level one.

6:41 a.m. – Lakeland Community College – ADVISORY: Due to extreme weather, Lakeland Community College is closed Tuesday, Jan. 18, 2022. All classes (including remote/hybrid), activities and events are canceled.

6:40 a.m. – Bedford High School is closed due to a staffing issue because of weather, however, all other Bedford schools are currently open.

5:54 a.m. – Expect lane closures on I-77 North beyond Arlington Rd to US-224 East, due to a crash.

5:30 a.m. – Just in from RTA: RTA Light Rail (Blue & Green Lines) and Heavy Rail (Red Line) services are fully restored and running with some minor delays due to the residual impact from yesterday’s snow storm. RTA Bus service is fully restored and running with some minor delays. Paratransit regular service continues with minor delays.

5:17 a.m. – The 2 left lanes are blocked on I-480 East beyond I-77 to Transportation Blvd/E 98th St, due to a crash.

5:15 a.m. – Speeds remain reduced on I-90 in Lake County due to weather.

5:13 a.m. Here’s an update from FOX 8 Adrienne DiPiazza on RTA services this morning.

5:00 a.m. – Wayne County has been downgraded to a Level 1 snow emergency. Check the list.

4:40 a.m. – The Ohio Department of Transportation (ODOT) says 760 plows are out Tuesday morning.

4:37 a.m. – RTA has not said any lines will be closed today. Service was temporarily suspended Monday, leaving people stranded. We’re monitoring updates here.
