Folkert named to All-OAC Football Team
Marietta College placed 11 players, including former Dover High School standout Kyler Folkert, on the All-Ohio Athletic Conference Football Team announced Tuesday morning by the league office.
The 11 all-conference selections are the most for the Pioneers since placing 12 on the All-OAC team in 1996.
Folkert, who earned honorable mention honors, started all five games at linebacker. He posted a team-high 38 total tackles, including 19 solo and 19 assisted stops.
Folkert notched 4.0 tackles for a loss, three pass break ups, one forced fumble and one fumble recovery.
Marietta finished the shortened spring season with a 3-2 record.

Mount Union’s women outdoor track and field team compete this Thursday and Friday at the 2021 Ohio Athletic Conference Outdoor Track & Field Championships at the Hoernemann Stadium in Tiffin, Ohio hosted by Heidelberg University.
The Purple Raider women, ranked No. 21 in the nation, have finished runner-up the past three outdoor conference meets with several student-athletes seeded high heading into the weekend.
Junior Kennady Gibbins (Fairless) leads the conference in the High Jump and Long Jump.
