“It was a lack of respect” – Adriano Panatta attacks Tiafoe and Sock over Laver

Former tennis player Adriano Panatta attacked Tiafoe and Sock over their behaviour in the Laver Cup explaining how disrespectful it was.

The Italian former player was disgusted by what he saw from the Americans branding them villains for the way they played that match. It was the final match of Roger Federer‘s career and it saw Sock and Tiafoe defeat Nadal and him to win it.

Panatta said:

“They were villains, those two Americans continually threw full force in the face of Roger Federer and Rafael Nadal.
It was a lack of respect and they only did this because they were
unable to do anything else. They are troglodytes of tennis but above all
villains towards two tennis players, champions, who have made the
history of this sport.”

He added:

“I thought, God, why don’t you give me a chance to get on the court and do like I did when I was 25.”
