Looks like a new Guilty Gear Strive or DNF Duel announcement is coming this

Things have been somewhat quiet on the front of Arc System Works since Evo 2022 last month, but it appears that is about to change very soon.

CEOtaku 2022 tournament organizer Alex Jebailey is now teasing what looks to be an incoming announcement(s) for Guilty Gear Strive and / or DNF Duel this weekend.

“Just received another special delivery from my friends at @ArcSystemWorksU to share with the #FGC for finals day at #CEOtaku on stage/stream,” wrote Alex Jebailey on Twitter.

Attached to the tweet was a photo of a thumb drive, which may sound a bit familiar to what went down last year.

During CEO 2021, Jebailey tweeted out almost the exact same thing that ended up being the reveal trailer for Baiken in Strive and rollback netcode coming to BlazBlue: Cross Tag Battle and BlazBlue: Central Fiction.

This flashdrive doesn’t clearly have trailer written on it like before, but we’ve seen this game already.

Guilty Gear does have one more character planned to release this year sometime during the Fall season alongside / following the crossplay beta test and full crossplay update.

DNF Duel is potentially far more interesting, however, considering those behind the game have been completely silent about DLC and future content ever since it released back in June. — and it definitely needs something right now.

Since Jebailey says whatever secret he’s holding will be shown off during finals day, fans should be keeping an eye out tomorrow, September 25 for the drop.

Top 8 for DNF Duel is scheduled to begin around 3 p.m. ET /12 p.m. PT and Strive’s finals start after around 7 p.m. ET / 4 p.m. PT, so those will be the likely times to watch out for — but of course we’ll have all the latest updates here as soon as they’re available.
